So the Quran will be the recorded word of Allah(swt) straight from the messenger of Allah(swt) the prophet Muhammad(pbuh) as there are only 1 version of the Quran without requiring one particular word altered since revelation to the present day. The Hadiths are saying and /or actions with the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) which were witness by the companions in the prophet Muhammad(pbuh) and after that written down for record. Since muslims think that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only pick the best among mankind have been tested of their lives to steer those who had opted astray and provide them to the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We believe in Allah understanding that which was sent down to us understanding that that is sent into Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and also to Al-Asbat [the offspring from the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], understanding that that has been provided to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), which which was given to the prophets from other Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and also to Him we've submitted (in Islam)."
Today because the last Prophet Muhammad is there will be no more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will come back no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so only the Quran and Hadiths can give you true guidance.
