Since muslims feel that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only choose the best among mankind who have been tested within their lives to lead those who had opted astray and provide them on the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We rely on Allah and that which has been sent into us knowning that that is sent right down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and Al-Asbat [the offspring from the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], which that is provided to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), understanding that which was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and Him we've got submitted (in Islam)."
Today since the last Prophet Muhammad is there won't be any more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will return no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so exactly the Quran and Hadiths will give you true guidance.
