Since muslims feel that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only select the right among mankind who have been tested of their lives to guide people who had opted astray and provide them towards the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We rely on Allah knowning that which was sent as a result of us which which was sent as a result of Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and Al-Asbat [the offspring from the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], which that is given to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), and that that is given to the prophets off their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, also to Him we've got submitted (in Islam)."
Today because the last Prophet Muhammad has already been there will be no more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will return no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so merely the Quran and Hadiths can provide you true guidance.
