Since muslims believe the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only pick the best among mankind have been tested inside their lives to steer those who had opted astray and convey them on the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We believe in Allah which that has been sent down to us knowning that which has been sent into Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and also to Al-Asbat [the offspring of the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], and that that is directed at Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), and that which has been given to the prophets from other Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and also to Him we've got submitted (in Islam)."
Today since the last Prophet Muhammad had been there won't be any more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will return no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so merely the Quran and Hadiths will give you true guidance.
