Since muslims feel that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only pick the best among mankind who have been tested in their lives to steer people that went astray and provide them towards the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We rely on Allah understanding that which was sent right down to us knowning that which has been sent as a result of Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and Al-Asbat [the offspring of the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], understanding that which has been presented to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), knowning that that has been given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and also to Him we've submitted (in Islam)."
Today because the last Prophet Muhammad had been there won't be any more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will come back no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so merely the Quran and Hadiths may give you true guidance.
