Since muslims believe the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only choose the best among mankind who have been tested within their lives to steer individuals who had gone astray and produce them on the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We rely on Allah understanding that which was sent into us understanding that that has been sent into Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and Al-Asbat [the offspring in the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], and that which has been directed at Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), knowning that that is given on the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and Him we have submitted (in Islam)."
Today since the last Prophet Muhammad is there won't be any more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will come back no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so merely the Quran and Hadiths will give you true guidance.
