Since muslims think that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only pick the best among mankind who were tested within their lives to lead people that went astray and produce them to the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We trust Allah knowning that which has been sent down to us knowning that which was sent as a result of Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and Al-Asbat [the offspring in the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], understanding that that has been given to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), knowning that that has been given to the prophets using their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, also to Him we've got submitted (in Islam)."
Today considering that the last Prophet Muhammad had been there will be no more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will return no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so merely the Quran and Hadiths will give you true guidance.
