Since muslims feel that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only pick the right among mankind who were tested of their lives to guide people that choose to go astray and bring them on the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We believe in Allah and that which was sent as a result of us understanding that which has been sent as a result of Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and also to Al-Asbat [the offspring in the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], and that that has been presented to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), and that which was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, also to Him we've submitted (in Islam)."
Today since the last Prophet Muhammad has already been there will be no more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will return no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so merely the Quran and Hadiths can provide you true guidance.
