Since muslims believe the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only pick the right among mankind who were tested inside their lives to steer people that went astray and produce them to the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We believe in Allah and that which was sent into us knowning that which has been sent down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and also to Al-Asbat [the offspring with the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], and that which was presented to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), which which was given towards the prophets from other Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and also to Him we've got submitted (in Islam)."
Today since the last Prophet Muhammad is there won't be any more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will come back no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so only the Quran and Hadiths can give you true guidance.
