The Quran could be the word of Allah(swt) as given directly or by angel Jibril (gabril)(AS) on the last and final seal with the prophets Muhammad (pbuh). As the verses were revealed the prophet Muhammad(pbuh) would recite these to his companions who'd memorise them and also write them down and distribute them on the list of muslim community. So the Quran will be the recorded word of Allah(swt) straight from the messenger of Allah(swt) the prophet Muhammad(pbuh) and there is only 1 version from the Quran with not one particular word altered since revelation for the present day. The Hadiths are saying and /or actions from the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) which were witness with the companions of the prophet Muhammad(pbuh) and then written down for record. Since muslims believe the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only select the right among mankind have been tested in their lives to steer people that had gone astray and provide them for the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We believe in Allah knowning that which was sent into us and that that has been sent down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), also to Al-Asbat [the offspring of the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], understanding that which was presented to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), understanding that which was given on the prophets off their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, also to Him we've submitted (in Islam)."
Today since last Prophet Muhammad is there won't be any more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will be restored no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so merely the Quran and Hadiths may give you true guidance.
