Since muslims believe that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only pick the best among mankind who were tested inside their lives to lead individuals who had gone astray and convey them towards the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We believe in Allah which which has been sent into us knowning that which has been sent into Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and also to Al-Asbat [the offspring with the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], understanding that that has been directed at Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), understanding that that is given for the prophets using their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we now have submitted (in Islam)."
Today since last Prophet Muhammad had been there will be no more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) is no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so only the Quran and Hadiths can give you true guidance.
