So the Quran could be the recorded word of Allah(swt) straight from the messenger of Allah(swt) the prophet Muhammad(pbuh) and there's only one version from the Quran without requiring an individual word altered because the revelation on the present day. The Hadiths say and /or actions from the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) that had been witness by the companions with the prophet Muhammad(pbuh) after which written down for record. Since muslims feel that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only choose the best among mankind who have been tested of their lives to guide people who had opted astray and convey them towards the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We believe in Allah which which has been sent into us knowning that that is sent right down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and also to Al-Asbat [the offspring from the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], which that has been directed at Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), understanding that that has been given on the prophets from other Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and also to Him we've submitted (in Islam)."
Today since last Prophet Muhammad has already been gone will be the more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will come back no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so only the Quran and Hadiths can give you true guidance.
