Since muslims believe the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only choose the best among mankind who have been tested inside their lives to guide people that had opted astray and bring them on the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We have confidence in Allah which which was sent into us and that that is sent right down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and to Al-Asbat [the offspring from the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], and that which was directed at Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), understanding that that has been given for the prophets using their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted (in Islam)."
Today because the last Prophet Muhammad had been there won't be any more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will come back no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so only the Quran and Hadiths can provide you true guidance.
