Since muslims believe that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only pick the right among mankind have been tested inside their lives to guide people who choose to go astray and provide them on the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We have confidence in Allah and that that is sent down to us knowning that that has been sent down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and Al-Asbat [the offspring of the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], which which was directed at Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), understanding that which has been given towards the prophets using their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and also to Him we have submitted (in Islam)."
Today considering that the last Prophet Muhammad has already been gone will be the more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will come back no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so only the Quran and Hadiths can give you true guidance.
