Since muslims feel that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only pick the right among mankind who were tested within their lives to lead people that had gone astray and provide them on the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We believe in Allah understanding that which was sent down to us understanding that which was sent into Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), also to Al-Asbat [the offspring from the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], and that which has been given to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), knowning that that is given towards the prophets from other Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and also to Him we've submitted (in Islam)."
Today since the last Prophet Muhammad has already been there won't be any more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will come back no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so merely the Quran and Hadiths can provide you true guidance.
