Since muslims believe that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only choose the best among mankind have been tested inside their lives to steer people that had gone astray and provide them for the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We trust Allah which which has been sent into us and that that is sent as a result of Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), also to Al-Asbat [the offspring in the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], understanding that that has been presented to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), and that that has been given for the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and Him we now have submitted (in Islam)."
Today because the last Prophet Muhammad has already been there won't be any more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will return no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so only the Quran and Hadiths can give you true guidance.
