Since muslims believe that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only select the right among mankind have been tested in their lives to lead people that choose to go astray and produce them for the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We believe in Allah and that which has been sent into us and that that has been sent down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and also to Al-Asbat [the offspring of the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], understanding that that is given to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), and that which has been given for the prophets using their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, also to Him we've submitted (in Islam)."
Today since last Prophet Muhammad had been there will be no more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will come back no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so exactly the Quran and Hadiths may give you true guidance.
