Since muslims think that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only pick the best among mankind who have been tested in their lives to steer those who had opted astray and bring them to the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We trust Allah knowning that that has been sent down to us and that which was sent right down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), also to Al-Asbat [the offspring in the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], and that that has been given to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), and that that has been given towards the prophets using their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, also to Him we now have submitted (in Islam)."
Today considering that the last Prophet Muhammad is there will be no more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will come back no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so merely the Quran and Hadiths will give you true guidance.
