Since muslims feel that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only pick the best among mankind who have been tested in their lives to lead people who went astray and bring them on the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We rely on Allah which which has been sent right down to us which which has been sent into Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and to Al-Asbat [the offspring in the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], and that which was given to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), understanding that that is given to the prophets off their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we now have submitted (in Islam)."
Today since last Prophet Muhammad was already there won't be any more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will be restored no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so only the Quran and Hadiths will give you true guidance.
