Since muslims believe that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only select the right among mankind who were tested within their lives to lead people that had opted astray and provide them for the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We trust Allah understanding that that has been sent down to us knowning that which was sent down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and also to Al-Asbat [the offspring with the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], understanding that which was provided to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), which that is given on the prophets off their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and Him we have submitted (in Islam)."
Today because the last Prophet Muhammad was already there won't be any more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will return no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so only the Quran and Hadiths can give you true guidance.
