Since muslims believe the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only select the right among mankind have been tested in their lives to steer people that had opted astray and bring them towards the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We trust Allah understanding that that is sent down to us and that that has been sent as a result of Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and Al-Asbat [the offspring with the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], and that which was given to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), understanding that which was given on the prophets from other Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and also to Him we have submitted (in Islam)."
Today because the last Prophet Muhammad was already there won't be any more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will come back no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so only the Quran and Hadiths will give you true guidance.
