Since muslims believe the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only choose the best among mankind have been tested inside their lives to steer people that had gone astray and bring them towards the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We have confidence in Allah understanding that which was sent right down to us which which was sent into Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and Al-Asbat [the offspring with the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], which which was given to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), which which was given on the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, also to Him we've got submitted (in Islam)."
Today since the last Prophet Muhammad had been there will be no more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will return no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so merely the Quran and Hadiths can provide you true guidance.
