The Hadiths are saying and /or actions with the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) that had been witness by the companions from the prophet Muhammad(pbuh) and then written down for record. Since muslims feel that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only choose the best among mankind have been tested of their lives to guide those who had opted astray and produce them towards the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We trust Allah understanding that that is sent right down to us and that that is sent down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), also to Al-Asbat [the offspring with the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], understanding that which has been given to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), and that which has been given to the prophets off their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and also to Him we have submitted (in Islam)."
Today since last Prophet Muhammad is there will be no more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will return no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so just the Quran and Hadiths can provide you true guidance.
