Since muslims feel that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only pick the best among mankind have been tested inside their lives to lead people that went astray and provide them on the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We rely on Allah and that that has been sent down to us which that has been sent right down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and to Al-Asbat [the offspring from the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], understanding that that has been directed at Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), understanding that which was given for the prophets from other Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted (in Islam)."
Today considering that the last Prophet Muhammad has already been there won't be any more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will be restored no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so exactly the Quran and Hadiths can give you true guidance.
