Since muslims believe the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only pick the best among mankind have been tested within their lives to steer people who had gone astray and convey them on the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We trust Allah which which was sent right down to us knowning that which has been sent as a result of Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and to Al-Asbat [the offspring with the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], and that which was directed at Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), knowning that that has been given for the prophets from other Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, also to Him we've got submitted (in Islam)."
Today since the last Prophet Muhammad had been there won't be any more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will be restored no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so only the Quran and Hadiths can give you true guidance.
