The Hadiths are saying and /or actions in the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) which were witness by the companions with the prophet Muhammad(pbuh) and after that written down for record. Since muslims believe that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only select the right among mankind who have been tested within their lives to steer people who went astray and convey them towards the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We have confidence in Allah knowning that that is sent right down to us which that is sent down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and to Al-Asbat [the offspring in the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], knowning that that is given to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), understanding that which has been given towards the prophets using their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, also to Him we now have submitted (in Islam)."
Today because the last Prophet Muhammad has already been there will be no more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will come back no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so merely the Quran and Hadiths may give you true guidance.
