Since muslims feel that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only select the right among mankind have been tested within their lives to lead those who went astray and produce them on the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We have confidence in Allah understanding that which was sent into us understanding that that is sent into Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), also to Al-Asbat [the offspring with the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], understanding that which has been presented to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), and that that is given on the prophets using their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and also to Him we've got submitted (in Islam)."
Today since last Prophet Muhammad was already there will be no more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will return no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so merely the Quran and Hadiths will give you true guidance.
