Since muslims think that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only choose the best among mankind who have been tested in their lives to steer people who went astray and provide them to the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We rely on Allah understanding that which has been sent down to us and that that is sent as a result of Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and also to Al-Asbat [the offspring in the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], knowning that that is directed at Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), and that that has been given to the prophets off their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we've got submitted (in Islam)."
Today because the last Prophet Muhammad was already gone will be the more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will come back no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so exactly the Quran and Hadiths can give you true guidance.
