Since muslims feel that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only pick the best among mankind who were tested within their lives to guide individuals who had opted astray and produce them towards the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We have confidence in Allah understanding that which has been sent as a result of us understanding that that has been sent right down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and also to Al-Asbat [the offspring with the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], knowning that which was presented to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), which which has been given towards the prophets using their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, also to Him we've submitted (in Islam)."
Today since the last Prophet Muhammad has already been there won't be any more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will come back no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so only the Quran and Hadiths will give you true guidance.
