Since muslims believe the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only choose the best among mankind who have been tested in their lives to steer people that choose to go astray and bring them on the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We believe in Allah understanding that which was sent right down to us and that that has been sent right down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and Al-Asbat [the offspring from the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], and that that has been directed at Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), knowning that that has been given for the prophets off their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we've submitted (in Islam)."
Today because the last Prophet Muhammad was already there won't be any more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will be restored no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so merely the Quran and Hadiths may give you true guidance.
