Since muslims feel that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only select the right among mankind have been tested in their lives to lead individuals who went astray and convey them for the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We rely on Allah knowning that which has been sent down to us knowning that which was sent down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and Al-Asbat [the offspring in the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], knowning that that is presented to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), knowning that which has been given towards the prophets off their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we've submitted (in Islam)."
Today since the last Prophet Muhammad had been there will be no more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will come back no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so just the Quran and Hadiths may give you true guidance.
