Since muslims believe that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only choose the best among mankind who have been tested within their lives to lead those who went astray and convey them towards the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We rely on Allah understanding that that has been sent into us understanding that that has been sent down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and also to Al-Asbat [the offspring in the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], knowning that which was provided to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), understanding that that has been given for the prophets using their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and Him we've submitted (in Islam)."
Today considering that the last Prophet Muhammad had been there won't be any more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will come back no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so merely the Quran and Hadiths will give you true guidance.
