Since muslims believe that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only choose the best among mankind who were tested in their lives to lead people who had gone astray and convey them for the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We have confidence in Allah knowning that that has been sent right down to us understanding that which has been sent down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), also to Al-Asbat [the offspring with the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], knowning that that has been given to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), which that is given on the prophets off their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and also to Him we've got submitted (in Islam)."
Today since last Prophet Muhammad is there will be no more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will return no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so exactly the Quran and Hadiths may give you true guidance.
