The Hadiths say and /or actions with the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) which are witness by the companions of the prophet Muhammad(pbuh) and after that written down for record. Since muslims think that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only pick the best among mankind who have been tested of their lives to steer those who went astray and produce them to the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We trust Allah knowning that which has been sent down to us understanding that that has been sent down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and Al-Asbat [the offspring in the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], knowning that that has been given to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), knowning that which has been given for the prophets from other Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and also to Him we've got submitted (in Islam)."
Today because the last Prophet Muhammad is gone will be the more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will be restored no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so only the Quran and Hadiths can provide you true guidance.
