Since muslims believe that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only pick the right among mankind who have been tested in their lives to guide people that choose to go astray and produce them for the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We rely on Allah understanding that that has been sent right down to us and that which has been sent as a result of Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and also to Al-Asbat [the offspring in the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], and that which has been provided to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), and that which has been given for the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, also to Him we now have submitted (in Islam)."
Today because the last Prophet Muhammad is gone will be the more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will return no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so merely the Quran and Hadiths can provide you true guidance.
