The Hadiths say and /or actions in the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) which are witness through the companions of the prophet Muhammad(pbuh) then written down for record. Since muslims feel that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only pick the right among mankind who have been tested within their lives to guide individuals who had gone astray and convey them for the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We rely on Allah understanding that which has been sent into us knowning that which was sent right down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and to Al-Asbat [the offspring with the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], knowning that that has been given to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), knowning that which has been given towards the prophets from other Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and Him we have submitted (in Islam)."
Today since last Prophet Muhammad has already been there will be no more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) is no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so only the Quran and Hadiths will give you true guidance.
