Since muslims believe that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only select the right among mankind have been tested of their lives to lead people that choose to go astray and provide them to the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We trust Allah knowning that that is sent as a result of us and that that has been sent into Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and Al-Asbat [the offspring from the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], knowning that which was provided to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), knowning that which was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and Him we've got submitted (in Islam)."
Today considering that the last Prophet Muhammad is gone will be the more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will come back no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so only the Quran and Hadiths can give you true guidance.
