Since muslims believe the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only choose the best among mankind have been tested of their lives to lead those who went astray and provide them to the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We trust Allah knowning that which was sent right down to us knowning that which has been sent into Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and to Al-Asbat [the offspring in the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], knowning that that is given to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), knowning that which has been given towards the prophets using their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and Him we have submitted (in Islam)."
Today since last Prophet Muhammad is there won't be any more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will return no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so only the Quran and Hadiths will give you true guidance.
