Since muslims feel that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only pick the best among mankind have been tested of their lives to guide people that went astray and provide them on the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We rely on Allah which which was sent right down to us understanding that which was sent right down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and to Al-Asbat [the offspring with the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], knowning that that is directed at Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), which which was given towards the prophets using their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we've submitted (in Islam)."
Today since last Prophet Muhammad was already there won't be any more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will be restored no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so only the Quran and Hadiths can give you true guidance.
