Since muslims believe that the prophets of Allah(swt) are pure and innocent, for Allah(swt) would only choose the best among mankind have been tested inside their lives to lead people that had gone astray and provide them for the right path.
Say (O Muslims), "We trust Allah knowning that that is sent right down to us and that which has been sent right down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and to Al-Asbat [the offspring in the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], understanding that that has been provided to Musa (Moses) and '??sa (Jesus), which which was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and also to Him we've got submitted (in Islam)."
Today since last Prophet Muhammad is gone will be the more prophets (prophet Isa (Jesus)(AS) will come back no new book but to uphold the Quran ) so merely the Quran and Hadiths can give you true guidance.
